Academic System

We understand that the crux of a successful Business School is the Academic Systems and Standards that are adopted and followed. Focusing on the International standards, AAM Academic System is more agile, practical, effective and proven. Our Academic System enforces providing practical knowledge and more exposure to the real environment. It is just not learning at AAM. It is learning and practicing what was learned. By bridging the gap with Reality, our Academic System results in an MBA Program that results in bridging the gap between where you are and what you want to be in reality.

First and the foremost, there are Classroom Lectures by qualified and experienced faculties at AAM. We take pride in the mandatory Interactive Lecture concept that our faculties follow in the classrooms. These Classroom Lectures are supplemented with "Lectures from the Leaders", the same concept of Guest Lectures, but delivered only by successful Leaders and notable Speakers from both the Business and Academic fields. Our reputation and location bring some of the most inspirational and thought-provoking Leaders and Speakers in the world through our doors. Our Students and Alumni learn from and are challenged by these Leaders and Speakers from Industry, Government, Finance, Academics and Media.


At AAM, we go by "Learning by Doing", the concept of practical learning and implementing. There are many programs like Industrial Visits, Simulation Exercises, Workshops, Debates, Symposia and Group Discussions that simulate the real life environments and situations for the students. Some programs are also executed by grouping the students to bring out the team spirit in the students and understand the importance of synergy.

Academic System at AAM is focused on developing Soft Skills. There are various programs concentrating on different Soft Skills like Social and People skills, Interpersonal skills and Communication skills. These programs are custom designed on a case-by-case basis after analyzing the batch of students for the program. AAM Academic System also believes in building and modifying the Attitude of the students. There are Attitude Building and Behavioral Shapeup Workshops that are based out of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; also known as ABC Model. Apart from increasing the Emotional Intelligence Quotient (EQ) of the students, it also enforces the belief in the values of the Ethics, Integrity and Self-Confidence. These workshops empower the students to stay composed and think rationally and intellectually in times of distress or crisis.

At AAM, we understand that a successful Manager needs to be qualified on skills other than managerial. Our Academic System also concentrates in some value-added programs like Six Sigma certification and PMI certifications. A successful Manager is the one who can make informed decision. Keeping this in mind, we have a lot of Software related value-added programs for the students.

Last, but not the least, Academic System at AAM also emphasizes utilizing state of the art tools and latest cutting edge technologies to make the students' learning more effective and fun. We have a Electronic Classrooms, Wi-FI campus, Online Teaching Support, Laptops, IT Labs, Internet Cafe to assist the students to learn effectively and make learning a fun at the same time.

Improvement System for Teaching and Learning at AAM


There are different teams and committees involved in the AAM Academic System to ensure the quality of teaching and learning at AAM. AAM Academic System follows an Improvement System that is an iterative process that constantly refines and or redefines the Teaching and Learning at AAM to ensure that it is effective enough to produce successful leaders.

Planning
• Teaching and Learning Committee develops the Teaching and Learning Policy
• Academic Council endorses and approves new programs
• Academic Senate debates academic issues; approves teaching and learning policy
• Program Coordinators develop plans for the new Programs
• Programs Coordinators update the existing plans for any changes proposed by the Academic Senate based on the review
• Faculty Board develops operational plans for new programs
• Faculty Board develops operational plans for proposed update to existing programs

Action
• Program Coordinators develop the approved programs
• Program Coordinators update the existing Programs
• Faculties conduct the programs and implement the plans and policy

Outcomes
• Faculties implement program reviews
• Program Assessment team evaluates the programs conducted and report on the performance of the programs

Improvement
• Faculty Board reports on outcome at Faculty level to the Teaching and Learning Committee
